This blog follows the trail of the 2nd battalion Seaforth Highlanders, using the war diaries from that unit. The focus will be on the 110 men from the Isle of Lewis who were serving with the 2nd Seaforths, and who lost their lives in action between August 1914 and November 1918. For each day when a Lewisman fell, the transcript of the relevant day has been copied into this blog, with details of the casualty as shown on
Faces from the Lewis War Memorial.
